What do Snow Lotus essential oils have to do with BodyQuirks? Well, we like good vibes, especially those from high-quality products that work. Furthermore, Tara, co-owner of BodyQuirks and LMT, recently studied with Snow Lotus founder, Peter Holmes LAc, MH, and fell in love with his high vibrational oils. We also love supporting local businesses that we believe in, so the shoe fit!
If you’re new to essential oils, these oils are naturally occurring, aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy describes the term ‘essential oil’ as a contraction of the original term ‘quintessential oil’, used by the Greeks. They believed essential oils contained the quintessence, or life force of plants and that distillation and evaporation were the processes of removing the spirit from the plant. Essential oils give plants their distinctive scent, protect plants, and play a role in plant pollination. In addition to their intrinsic benefits to plants and their fragrance, they have been used for food preparation, beauty, and health-care practices for over 5,000 years!
We love Snow Lotus essential oils because they are made locally, are high quality, and still affordable. Their oils are fully bioactive and artisan-quality- sourced directly from artisan growers and distillers. Many of our oils are blends to help calm the nervous system, balance hormones, and uplift and balance energy and emotions. The essential oil blends we carry, like Spirit Lift, Worry Free, and Sweet Dreams, can all be applied directly on the skin and on points like the soles of the feet, wrists, and behind the neck. These blends can also be added to massage oils, bath soaks, and aromatherapy diffusers.
Another great thing about Snow Lotus essential oils, besides being potent and pure, is that they are ethically produced and support small family businesses across the globe with fair trade and eco-sustainable relationships.
Snow Lotus also make many other oils, in addition to what we carry. If you’re interested in purchasing something you don’t see on our shelves, let us know!
